Sidoo Family Giving Collaborates with World Vision Project RUDI

David and Sidoo Family Giving is proud to collaborate with Nav Bhatia, Toronto Raptors superfan, in funding the World Vision project “RUDI” (Rise up Daughters of India). The project has worked to install sanitisation systems in the Punjab village schools in India so that hundreds of female students have restroom facilities at learning institutions, vastly improving conditions around gender-equal access to education in communities.

Without separate washrooms, female students in rural India have limited options. Some are forced to use a nearby field, risking their safety, health and dignity. Most girls decide to stop going to school rather than endanger themselves.

I have witnessed first-hand the bias against our daughters in India. By simply improving school facilities for girls, we are showing everyone that a girl’s education is important. This is the importance of Rise Up Daughters of India.

New Westminster Secondary School Breakfast Club Program

Through the Breakfast Club of BC Foundation, Dylan and Jordan Sidoo are proud to support the New Westminster Secondary School Breakfast Club Program. Across Canada, it is estimated that one in four children don’t eat a proper breakfast.

The Breakfast Club programs provide a chance for students to connect with their peers, their teachers, the principal, it’s a place where if parents have to go to work early, and there’s not a place for them to go and no one to help them make breakfast, it’s a safe warm place parents can bring their kids to in the morning.

We encourage others to help with there local Breakfast Club Programs across Canada by visiting https://www.breakfastclubcanada.org
